| Beskrivning av tillverkare | Château Suduiraut : Exceptional Sauternes with delicious candied fruits’ and citrus’s aroma … The Château Suduiraut, Sauternes premier cru, gets its origins back to the end of the sixteenth century. Léonard Suduiraut married Nicole Allard and received the field as marriage portion. In the seventeenth century, the area was devastated by the war. At the end of the seventeenth century, the Count Blaise de Suduiraut rebuilt the Château Suduiraut as it is today. The area now has 200 hectares, of which, about 90 are dedicated to the grapes. The vines are located on a ground made up of sandy clay “graves”. Near from the Ciron and the Garonne, the Château Suduiraut is ideally situated for the development of the special rot, which is essential to the wines of Sauternes. The Château Suduiraut produces today three wines: Château Suduiraut, the first grand cru classé, Castelnau de Suduiraut, second wine of Chateau (soft white) and the "S" Suduiraut, which is a dry white wine. |
