Established by Théodore Vander Veken in 1757, the House of the champagne Henri Abelé is the third older House of champagne.its story of about 250 years, prestigious and innovative, becomes confused with the story of the champagne. The House of the champagne Henri Abelé is indeed one of the pioneers in the elaboration and the distribution of the champagne, the unique wine has been in the first part of the XVIIIth century, elected drink of kings thanks to the big parties organized on the occasion of the crowning of the French king in the cathedral of Reims. The house of champagne Henri Abelé was one of the most active in the marketing of its wines in France and in the world, so becoming official supplier of the court of Spain, Germany and Belgium... The House of the champagne Henri Abelé strongly contributed to the improvement of what will become the "champagne method" by participating in the invention and the development of the table of remuage. Henri Abelé appears himself unquestionably as the heir of this sense of the innovation and the perfection: he is the first one to use the process of the draining with ice, still used nowadays.
