Echézeaux

The « Echezeaux » appellation is a ‘Grand Cru’ appellation, located on the Côte de Nuits. Like the Grand Cru « Grands Echezeaux », it is spotted in the village of Flagey-Echezeaux. This town is adjacent to the village of Vosne-Romanée and surrounded by the town of Vougeot and Chambolle-Musigny in the South and Nuits-Saint-Georges in the North. The 36 hectares of the Grand Cru “Echezeaux” are producing solid and structured red wines, 100% elaborated from pinot noir. They have to be drunk generally within 10 to 15 years, depending on the vintage. The most famous producers of this appellation are Louis Jadot, Henri Jayer, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Dujac and Domaine Emmanuel Rouget. Dominique Mugneret, Domaine des Perdrix and Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret are also producing wines from this appellation, with a very good price/quality ratio.
