Sauternes
Sauternes-Barsac fine wines' selection : The syrupy and richness of white wines of Bordeaux have the chance to be located not far from a small river called Ciron. This one gives rise to a microclimate, which is ideally alternating a strong humidity and a hot sun, which also gives rise to the proliferation of the famous Botrytis cinerea. This mushroom does not develop itself in a regular way, thus wine makers must proceed to manual sort of grapes. This noble rot develops itself on the two sides of the Garonne. The appellations of Cadillac, Loupiac and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont belong to the right side; however the left side gathers names such as Cérons, Sauternes and Barsac.
